ENTWINED

ENTWINED is a program created and curated by Stanley Ollivier (aka STANLEY) and Matias Rocha Moura (aka MalMeQuer) in 2022, out of a need for a virtual platform in Brussels for young artists to expose their work in relation to sonic experiences and/or music. The project genesis aims to be a place in which exchanging, learning and building knowledge is at the core. Artists are free to offer any kind of experience through their personal artistic research, in any field, with humility. Through our collaboration with Kiosk Radio, ENTWINED is working with a focus on promoting artists through diverse formats such as conversations, interviews, and DJ set.

As a DJ, STANLEY claims his mixed heritage, wants to heal our bodies, and rethinks the multiple possibilities of being together through listening. He does not stick to a precise musical style but learns, explores, and combines frequently. He hopes to contribute to the emergence of innovative diversity and create new tools to bring more joy and freedom.

MalMeQuer

Matias Rocha Moura is a Brussels-based freelance artist, dancer, performer and DJ. Determined to pursue his dream of becoming a professional dancer, he left his hometown in Portugal at 14 years old, to develop his craft and encounter new clusters of people.

Matias studied at Codarts Rotterdam, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Dance, and finishing his last year as an intern with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and ICK Amsterdam. He then spent the next 2 years working as a full-time member of the company Ballet Theater Basel in Switzerland, performing works by Sharon Eyal, Marcos Morau, Imre and Marne van Opstal, Alexander Ekman, and others. Striving to work in multidisciplinary creations, he currently works on different projects in Basel, Paris, and Brussels, which include musicians, theater-makers, actors, dancers, visual artists, singers, fashion-designers, etc.

From a need for creative freedom and gaining knowledge through another medium, he discovered DJing. Under the name of MalMeQuer, he likes to explore the possibilities of mixing different genres and sounds from all over the world, always with an electronic presence, binding them together. He hopes that through his mixes people are able to dance and enjoy while actively listening to all the nuances of the music. He has played live sets in Bar Rouine (CH), Nowadays (USA), Theater Basel (CH), and other private events in Brussels (BE) and Basel (CH).

At the moment, he is focused on expanding his artistry by engaging new mediums and forms of knowledge in his performativity, and therefore also being able to use them independently. He hopes with his future projects to create a sense of community from which we can all feel safe to share and learn from one another.
